Union County Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski and McGruff the Crime Dog meet young visitors during the National Night Out event hosted by the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Township of Springfield on August 5 in Meisel Park in Springfield. National Night Out, sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, is a campaign geared toward generating drug and crime awareness and prevention throughout the country.
