JOHN LENNON EDUCATIONAL TOUR BUS
LATEST TO JOIN ATTRACTIONS AT MUSICFEST ‘08

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a mobile audio recording and educational vehicle that teaches students to play music, write songs and more, will join a wide variety of attractions at Union County MusicFest ‘08 on September 5th and 6th at Nomahegan Park in Cranford.

Other attractions on both days include the Major League Baseball Traveling Road show, which includes pitching and batting cages and video game kiosks, and the Marketplace which features a variety of vendors and food merchants.

On Saturday, September 6th, Kids Kingdom Traveling Jubilee, an entertainment show featuring rides and amusements for children, will be staged in an expanded area at Shane Walsh Field, which is adjoining Nomahegan Park. Kids Kingdom makes several stops in Union County Parks through the year, concluding with MusicFest. Also that day, a Laser Tag center will also be available for gamers to enjoy.

“It is our goal to provide a family-fun environment for all ages,” said Freeholder Vice Chairman Al Mirabella. “We take great pride in being able to make available the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, which is a unique musical experience.”

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit state-of-the-art mobile Pro Audio and HD video recording facility that provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages. In its 11th year of touring, the venture is proud of its brand new bus and its studios, which boast the latest audio and video technology, gear and products. The Bus travels across the U.S. and Canada year-round, providing free tours and workshops at schools, retailers, festivals, on tours with headlining artists, and at major industry conferences.

The interior is divided into three separate studio environments that can be opened to create one large studio. The front studio is a cutting-edge audio and video production room. The rear studio offers pro-level recording and mixing at the highest possible resolution, as well as an iso booth for acoustic recordings, and a chromate (green screen) booth. Powered by Apple computers, the studios feature traditional musical instruments and the latest Sony HD products and solutions. Also on-board is a Mackie P.A. system enabling performances on the side of the Bus.

The Bus, a 501(c)(3) venture, is made possible through the generosity of sponsors including Maxell Corporation, Apple, NAMM, Roland, Godin Guitars, Edirol by Roland, Sibelius, Audio-Technica, Sonicbids, Digidesign, Aphex Systems, Sony, Musician’s Friend, Neutrik, Glyph Technologies, Ampeg, Ableton, Mackie, Crate, Apogee, Disc Makers, Antares, Smart Technology, Bogen Imaging, IK Multimedia, McDSP, SKB, Ultimate Support, PureVolume.com, Planet Waves, Spectrasonics, Music Player Network, Native Instruments, and Boss.
